The Healthmax website claims to offer health information, articles and supplement support online. The dieter may notice very little information on weight loss, at first, but hidden in the pages are supplement reviews and BMI calculators. There is clearly an emphasis on stress, which can be a huge problem for dieters trying to lose weight. The supplements listed on the front page of the website are DHEA 25, StressFree, Super HCA and Super HydroxyMax.

List of Ingredients

DHEA 25 – DHEA (25 mg).

StressFree – DHEA, Tyrosine, Vitamin B12, Panax Ginseng, Vitamin B5, St. John’s Wort and Zinc.

Super HCA – Hydroxycitric Acid.

Super HydroxyMax – Hydroxycitric Acid, Chromate, Vanadium, Vitamin B6, L-5-HTP, St John’s Wort, Kava Kava, Folic Acid and Ginger.

Product Features

The health articles and information on weight loss provided by Healthmax may be helpful for the dieter, but the supplements supported by the company are not. DHEA may help calm dieters and relieve symptoms of stress. StressFree contains DHEA and Tyrosine. Tyrosine naturally reduces blood pressure, which may help the user feel fewer physical effects of stress. St. John’s Wort is a mood boosting ingredient, but it is not safe for use by people with mental disorders, depression or anxiety.

SuperHCA is hydroxycitric acid. This ingredient, also known as garcinia cambogia, may be linked to liver damage. Super HydroxyMax is another hydroxycitric acid supplement, but this one contains Chromate, a proven appetite suppressant. Despite the positive boost from Chromate, there are two mood boosters in this product. Kava kava is specifically noted as unsafe for use by people with bipolar disorder and other mental conditions.

The products are overpriced for the ingredients included in the supplement. DHEA, for instance, can be purchased from a health food store for less than $10.

Other supplements sold by Healthmax include Weight-Less (another hydroxycitric acid supplement), Diatroxal (a hydroxycitric acid supplement). We did not find one supplement sold through Healthmax that is 100% safe for use by all dieters.

Healthmax is a website that is difficult to navigate selling supplements with ingredients that could be dangerous for some dieters. Not all products have a complete ingredient list and some are formulated by other companies. Dieters need to look closely at all the ingredients and look for potential health problems associated with those ingredients. Healthmax seems to favor hydroxycitric acid or garcinia cambogia. This ingredient may be linked to liver damage and should not be taken for weight loss until the FDA or clinical research proves otherwise.
