Donate the Weight
For every product you purchase, we feed a child for a day. For 2017 our goal is to provide 1 million meals to children around the world and you are now part of that mission.
According to The Hunger Project, 795 million people do not have the food they need each day, and 98% of people in developing countries are considered undernourished. The stark fact that one child dies every second from diseases related to hunger is not something we’re willing to accept.
The entire Dietspotlight.com crew wanted to do something to change the lives of these children, so we developed the Donate the Weight® initiative. You take advantage of one of our samples, and we donate a meal – that’s it. It’s simple really – Try, Donate, Feed.
How You Can Contribute
You order a sample from Dietspotlight.com.
We add up the total of your sample purchases for the month.
For every sample you buy, we feed a child for a day.
Our personal connection with the community doesn’t stop there. We also deliver food and meals to the less advantaged in communities, towns, and cities all around us. At the core of our beliefs at Dietspotlight.com is an immense need to make a difference and GIVE BACK.
There’s no doubt that large organizations have a broader reach; affecting more people than we could meet. For that reason, we support some of the best organizations in the United States and the world, including the Obesity Society, the Weight Loss Surgery Foundation of America and A Healthier America.
Organizations We Support:
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, there was an 11% increase in childhood obesity, ages 6-11, between 1980 and 2012 (from 7% to 18%). In the 12-19 year population, that increase climbs to 16% during the same time frame (5% to 21%).
As the percentage of children and teens suffering from obesity rises, so do the risk factors for cardiovascular disease, diabetes, high cholesterol and high blood pressure. A Healthier America is developing solutions to stop the spread of childhood obesity, so these issues are not something future generations have to worry about.
According to the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, weight loss surgery can effectively help with “maintaining long-term weight loss.” It’s not always about diet and exercise. Weight loss isn’t that simple for everyone.
National Fundraisers and Celebrity contributions are the heart of these amazing grants. The organization even offers partial grants to cover insurance co-pays and deductibles, among many other out of pocket expenses.
