Side Effects – “Concerning?”

The first concern we had is Nopalina Lipaza Plus side effects. “Some users have complained of adverse effects from this product. Some side effects may include abdominal pains, stomachache, dizziness, bloating and loose stool,” says our Research Editor.

According to one customer “I’ve been on Nopalina for a while. I’ve had excessive bloating, constipation, and horrible stomach pain. I look like I gained weight and I can hardly eat due to feeling super full.”

“I wouldn’t recommend Nopalina. This is my third day and my stomach is hurting,” said another user.

Customer Complaints – “Not Good”

There are plenty of user complaints posted online for Nopalina Lipaza Plus ingredients. One customer commented, “I had terrible stomach pain. I have never used this product before.”

Nopalina Linaza Plus is sold as a fiber source or flax seed supplement. According to one online source, 100% pure Canadian flax seed is the main ingredient. Users have noted an increase in the number of bowel movements per day when taking Nopalina Linaza Plus. Some describe the bowel movements as being close to diarrhea.

List of Ingredients

Canadian Flax Seed, Wheat Bran, Senna Leaf, Apple, Pineapple, Cactus, Orange, Psyllium Husk, Grapefruit and Oat Bran.

Product Features

The ingredient list for Nopalina Linaza Plus is laden with fiber and natural laxatives. This could be the reason some users reported bowel movements similar to diarrhea. The supplement is to be taken as one tablespoon dissolved in eight ounces of water twice a day. Juice or milk can be used in place of water. Nopalina Linaza Plus does include a healthy source of fiber, protein and omega fatty acids. While this is a positive for overall health, the benefits for weight loss are not clear. Laxatives and cleansing supplements are quickly becoming part of many weight loss lines. Using laxatives to lose weight is not a healthy choice as laxatives are just another form of diuretic than can cause short-term weight loss through dehydration. Once a dieter stops taking the supplement, the body will regain healthy fluid stores and the weight will return. Long-term use of natural laxatives like psyllium husk and senna can also lead to an underactive colon. The colon works to expel waste from the body and laxative loosen waste just enough to cause atrophy to colon muscles over time. Becoming dependent upon natural laxatives is a negative to taking supplements like Nopalina Linaza Plus. Nopalina Linaza Plus is sold in 16-ounce bags. Each bag retails for $11.99. Ordering more bags results in a reduction in price. With a five-bag order, the price is reduced to $10.99 per bag. Ten bags cost $9.99 each and an order of 50 or more bags reduces the price to $7.99 each.

Advantages

  • Nopalina Linaza Plus is a good source of protein, fiber and omega fatty acids.
  • The price is lower than other cleansing and flax supplements.
  • Online ordering is supported.

Disadvantages

  • Several of the ingredients in Nopalina Linaza Plus are natural laxatives.
  • Long-term use of senna can lead to dependency.
  • There is no fat burning or weight loss ingredients in Nopalina Linaza Plus.

Conclusion

Nopalina Linaza Plus is a natural laxative supplement that may increase weight loss for a short period. Weight loss will be temporary, as water loss will contribute to the majority of the pound shift on the scale. Laxatives are not a healthy part of a weight loss plan and should only be used when the dieter needs relief from temporary constipation.

If you are already COMPACTED (constipated) – any fiber product will make it worse. You MUST drink at least a gallon a day or 1/2 your body weight in ounces (ie 150 lbs -= 75oz water). Any fiber product will make your problem worse without water, however, I like the product and sprinkle it on salads and in juices to variety – you don’t need a lot for it to be effective.

Is it okay for me to take Nopalina if im only 19? if so how many should I take per day(Capstiles)?

    [Reply]

    Karen (Editor)

Hello, Sunshine. Most diet product are geared towards adults 18 and over so yes you can take it however, as an added precaution, consult you doctor before taking it. Remember though, this particular product is essentially a laxative and the “water weight” you lose may return in time.

Ive been on Nopalina for a while. I’ve had excessive bloating, constipation, and horrible stomach pain. I look like I gained weight and I can hardly eat due to feeling super full. I feel like there is a bowling ball in my stomach. DO NOT RECOMMEND. I will stick to eating healthy instead.

    Cinder,

You are describing the effects of eating too much fiber at one time. You need at least 8 ounces of water per 5 grams of fiber. I would try only taking 1 tablespoon of Nopalina per day.

I have taken Nopalina and it is fabulous product. I loss about 13 pounds but it was slow and steady. I was also able to keep it off. In addition, my bowel movements were more regular. In addition, when I went for lab work at doctor my good cholesterol was exceptional!!!! The only thing negative is when you stop using it you might find you are constipated but after about a 2 – 3 days all went back to normal (pre taking the product).

If you google Nopalina by itself, you’ll find that it claims to have no adverse side affects, but try googling up senna leaves which is what makes this product what it is: a laxative. Senna is only supposed to be taken for no more than 2 weeks tops. As a result of drinking this my hair is falling out incredibly fast. My shower drain is full after I shower and not to mention combing my hair. I have now stopped taking it and am taking biotin to stop this terrible shedding, if you will. I’ve also now learned that it causes low levels of electrolytes therefore making way for heart problems and to top it off, it can cause enlargement of fingers and toes!! UGH! I’ve been using it for about 4 months. The package doesn’t indicate how long it is safe to take it for, but as for me, I’m done. Maybe once in an enormous while when you really have to; like when I first took it, I noticed such a good difference that I just continued to the point that it became habitual. So now I just drink alot of water and eat more fiber rich foods instead of this product. I started taking it when I saw the results in weight loss other family members were getting from using it, but coincidentally, we’re all losing hair – all women and one men, same thing. I’m done.

Omg!! Really!! Loosing hair!? I would rather be a little over weight than loose weight and be bald =/ i think exercise and green leafy vegetables will never go wrong.

LOL this review is completely FAKE (and funny). I have read thousands of positive reviews about this product and I actually take it. My fingers still the same length and I’m full of hair!! LOL

    [Reply]

    Martha

It can’t be fake it is a laxative and diet/weight loss methods impact everyone differently. If you have any type of stomach issues or a sensitive stomach like I do it does say it’s not recommended.

    [Reply]

    Your backllashName

If you have issues before taking a product and it strongly indicate not to use it. Then you still take it. You put yourself at risk of enlarged fingers, toes, hair loss etc. That’s a choice. Then to continue to take it for four months after discovering these issues. SCARY.

For the past year i had been taking nopalina linaza pluz but i was kinda disgusted by the outcome of the blend with water or juice it kind of looked like oatmeal. the results were there but the thing i disliked about the product was the need to go to the bathroom without warning i was scared to to it while going out afraid i might have an accident. On the other side i found a product that does just the opposite contols my appetite and maintains my weight loss at an ideal weight. Another plus it has is the great flavor of maqui berry and passion fruit! This dietary supplement is called Numia Performance Fiber. Also i am taking Numia capsules to loose weight its great theres no side effects and has controled my appetite and boosted my energy level to do tasks at home or at work with ease!

Is it safe to continue to drink drink for a long period of time. I have read it has natural laxatives and afraid my bowels will become dependent on this. How often should I take this?

works wonderfull if you take it at night. before you go to bed drink a glass of water (or juice for a better taste) with 3 tbsp of nopalina.
Another way to take it: at morning with an empty stomach put in the blender the half of a cucumber, 2 slices of pinapple, 2 or 3 tbsp of nopalina and some water.
    Good luck 😉
