What is Keyto?
Keyto is a smart breathalyzer that measures the acetone in your breath. According to Examine.com, your body produces ketone bodies when it enters a state of ketosis. Acetone is one of those ketone bodies. Bad breath is common on low-carb diets. It’s because of the acetone.
The breathalyzer, which resembles an electronic cigarette, connects to a smartphone app that tells you how far into ketosis you are. Your breath will give off a higher score when you have more acetone present in your breath.

Does Keyto Work?
The makers claim this product is backed by more than a decade of science. Our research team was hoping they would make their studies public. Unfortunately, they didn’t.
We did find one study that shows it could work. The study, published in the American Journal of Nutrition concluded that measuring breath acetone is an effective way to determine if a person is in a state of ketosis.
Keyto Benefits and Results
A limited number of breathalyzers were released to the public in early 2019. Our research team couldn’t find any reviews online, but there was plenty of buzz about Keyto in keto-focused diet groups. Some dieters were excited. They liked the idea of knowing exactly when they entered a state of ketosis. Others were turned off by the price, especially considering ketone urine strips are just as effective and cost a fraction of the amount of Keyto.

Will Keyto help you lose weight? It can. While Harvard medical researchers admit the research available on the keto diet is limited, there is a potential for weight loss.
One long-term study, published in the Journal of Clinical Cardiology, found a ketogenic diet can reduce body weight, decrease triglyceride levels, lower LDL cholesterol and reduce blood glucose levels.
The keto diet is difficult to maintain. If Keyto simplifies the process, more people might turn to the low-carb trend.

There are no side effects associated with Keyto. There are, however, side effects associated with a keto diet.
The most commonly reported keto side effect is carb flu. The symptoms of carb flu include:
