What is Liporidex?

First off, Liporidex is a line of nutritional supplements. The products target specific goals, including weight-loss, appetite suppression and energy boosting. Some ingredients include green coffee extract, green tea leaf, caffeine, l-theanine, guarana seed extract, African mango seed, raspberry ketones, quercetin dehydrate, ashwagandha root, L-Trosine, bitter orange extract, bacopa, n-acetyl l-carnintine, choline bitartrate, white pepper extract, and norcoclaurine. Use depends on the supplement.

Liporidex is a made by Nuretix Research Labs, a company offering science-based solutions since 2007. The line is available through the official website and several online retailers. We like the cost and that we found positive comments, but read on…

Liporidex Ingredients – “Effective?”

The first issue tackled was the effectiveness of Liporidex ingredients. “We noticed several supplement contains promising ingredients such as green tea, caffeine and amino acids,” said our Research Editor. “But, a select few extracts doesn’t translate to results.”

“I’m almost through the entire bottle and unfortunately Liporidex Plus didn’t work for me,” stated a customer.

“I tried it for a few days, I had so much indigestion that it actually hurt,” commented another.

On the other hand, there were customers noticing solid results.

“This product does a great job of helping me through my worst time of day for eating too much,” said a user.

“I have been using Liporidex for two months now. I have seen major results with diet & exercise,” reported a dieter.

Side Effects – “Mild?”

According to reviews, there’s an issue with Liporidex side effects. Some noticed mild effects, but there was nothing severe. “It made me even more hungry and increased my appetite,” said a customer.

“Made me hungrier than normal,” commented another.

While there are reviews of Liporidex mentioning side effects, we found where that’s not the case.

“This product does not make me feel ANY of those side effects,” said a user.

“I have had no bad side effects. I love that it doesn’t have a ton of caffeine in it to,” reported another.

Years of research tell us that side effects lead to a reduction in long-term success. There’s an issue if users experience adverse reactions while using Liporidex.

The Science – “Research Based?”

The makers of Liporidex provide a great deal of information about key ingredients. In fact, extended information is available on the main website about many of the ingredients, and the informative texts are well footnoted. However, the amount of the ingredients doesn’t mirror the studies. Further, the company offers no clinical studies supporting the efficacy of the supplement in regards to promoting weight loss.

What Users Are Saying

"”This product works very well. Decreased my appetite and energy with no jitters at all!”"

"”It’s a good thing to have maybe if you are looking for some type of appetite suppressant”"

The Bottom Line – Does Liporidex Work?

We looked at Liporidex because of the inclusion of several proven ingredients. However, the fact that the product makes claims that are so clearly in doubt, is concerning. While many of the ingredients indicate the supplement may have weight loss properties, we are uncomfortable endorsing it. Complete transparency and honesty is needed when offering consumers a dietary supplement that will be impacting their health. This can come in the form of detailed ingredient lists, clinical studies, and consumer reviews.

Do you want to lose those extra pounds? We suggest a supplement containing ingredients backed by research and supported by positive comments.

Among the best products we’ve seen this year is our product called Dietspotlight Burn. It contains four clinically-tested ingredients, with results often published in journals such as Obesity.

Also, we’re so confident that you’ll love our supplement that we’re offering a Special Trial Offer, which is a good sign.

Previous Liporidex Review (Updated October 24, 2012):

What You Should Know

The official website for Liporidex lists the supplement as safe and effective. Many of the ingredients on the list are safe and some are even proven to increase weight loss, but others are far from safe. With multiple stimulants and a touch of mood boosting chocolate (PEA), Liporidex offers a bigger punch than the description allows.

The official website offers direct ordering, contact information and information on the doctor who created the Liporidex formula. Dr. Emeka Okwuje cured a rare skin disorder with natural anti-oxidants and soon delved into weight loss remedies. He specializes in anesthesiology and has no official training in nutrition or weight loss.

List of Ingredients

CLA, Mucuna Pruriens, Phenylethylamine, Green Tea, Bitter Orange Extract, Cayenne Pepper, Soy Isoflavones, Chromium, L-Dopa and PEA.

Product Features

The ingredient list for any product offers a snapshot of how the body will react. The main ingredient in Liporidex is CLA, or conjugated linoleic acid. CLA was once a popular lean muscle builder that was marketed as having unreal fat loss abilities. When science could not prove this fat loss in humans, CLA lost a bit of ground.

Mucuna Pruriens is a mood altering bean that is commonly sold as an alternative to coffee. Marketed as a sexual aid, we can only guess the improved mood associated with this bean is the reason for adding it. Phenylethylamine is another mood altering ingredient with slightly stimulant properties. Phenylethylamine is included twice on the ingredient list, which is a bit odd. Green tea, the best ingredient in Liporidex, is proven to increase metabolism.

Bitter Orange extract is commonly referred to as Citrus Aurantium or synephrine. This cousin to Ephedra is a strong stimulant that can carry a risk of high blood pressure and increased heart rate. There have been reports of people being hospitalized from taking too much synephrine.

Cayenne pepper is another good ingredient. Several studies have linked cayenne pepper to increased fat burn and metabolism. We also like the fact that Chromium is used in the Liporidex formula. Liporidex sells for $49.99 per bottle.

  • Green tea, chromium and cayenne are proven ingredients.
  • The price is comparable to other fat burners.

  • Bitter Orange Extract can cause unhealthy side effects.
  • PEA, a mood enhancer or psychoactive ingredient, is listed twice.

Liporidex is one of the better supplements we have reviewed in a while. There are several proven ingredients and even some mood boosters to help the dieter feel better about sticking to a weight loss plan. However, mood stabilizers are not safe for everyone. We also dislike the addition of synephrine which can cause jitters and shakes, increased blood pressure and increased heart rate potentially leading to a stimulant crash.
