can you have nuts on cycle 1 accerate? I loss 45 lbs. a year and a half ago did well now back on it again I was bad!

I started the diet 1 year ago the 12th of November and have lost 45 pounds and most of that in the first 4 months. I am 58 and can not believe how it has changed my life. My daughter and I have learned to eat healthy and I cannot begin to tell you how much I recommend this lifestyle of eating.

This was a great diet plan. After trying both the 1st and 2nd cycle, I lost 10 ibs. Pretty much gives you advice on what you should eat and gives great examples of foods to eat durning the cycle. All the food is natural from the grocery store near you. I’m planning to go back into the program again.

My husband and I just started this 13 days ago. He’s lost 18lbs, and I’ve lost 5. He needed to lost 25-30lbs, and I need to lose 10-12. He’s leveled off now – and may even gain a pound, then lose it. The thing is – healthy wt loss is 2lbs a week, so we need to be thrilled with more than that. Be patient. We gained it over a longer period of time. The great thing is this is healthy! Protein is critical – for our cells and for feeling satisfied. Eat chicken and eat fish. I eat 2 eggs/day – very filling to start the day. This diet plan has helped me to learn to eat foods that are good for me. I have lost about 15 pounds. At times I will gain a pound and then lose afew. I am trying new foods and eating more fish, chicken and turkey. The 17 minutes a day of exercise that makes you really sweat really helps. I am even running now. What if you do not eat eggs? What are the other options?

I suggest the cottage cheese or yogurt. Also, if I grilled chicken the night before, I grill extra for my lunch salad and will sometimes eat 4 ounces of chicken for breakfast instead of the eggs. I think it is about the lean protein. As long as you keep it to that you should be okay. It did not restrict my weight loss.

I did this diet several years ago and shed 10 pounds in the first cycle, but life changed and I found it difficult to pack all my snacks needed to maintain even blood sugar levels and stave off hunger pangs. I really enjoyed it, but I eat these foods normally. I am not as thin as I should be since I consume alcohol, white breads, and other sugars daily, so I am back on the cycles to shed the weight quicker than just getting rid of my bad habits. If you are a fairly healthy eater with just a few bad habits, this is the diet for you, but if you are a junk food junkie, then you’ll find it too restrictive. Yes, you will get headaches and irritability at about day 3, but these are because your body is addicted to sugar and you are having cravings. THEY WILL GO AWAY and YOU WILL FEEL GREAT AFTER! All of my aches and pains in my joints went away since they were from inflammation caused by sugar. My mood improved drastically and I found that I was more joyful without sugar. Changing a habit is not easy and how you eat is habitual, so NO diet that works is going easy, but you can find one that fits into your lifestyle. If not, I’ve also lost weight by adding GOOD things to my diet… as I did this, I naturally subtracted bad things because I wasn’t hungry. Good luck!

I’ve been on the diet for 4 days and was surprised that I had only lost 1 pound. I feel much slimmer but I thought I would have lost a little more. I just realized the greek yogurt I’ve been eating the last couple of days wasn’t fat free, so that’s probably why.

You have to watch the amount of sugars on the diet. The point of the diet is to put your bady in a state of ketosis (starve your body of sugars) so that your body will use fat stores to fuel itself. The probiotic is mainly to help you keep your digestive system flowing properly with all the added protein.

You may be consuming too much sugar, hence little weight loss.
