If you want the bottom line on CleanStart, give me just two minutes of your time. Plus we focused on all sorts of reviews and user responses that are posted on the internet. Lastly, we summed up everything to give you the info you need.

What is CleanStart?

First off, CleanStart is a “dietary cleansing and detoxification program” that is made by Nature’s Sunshine. It is available in two different flavors, which are apple/cinnamon and wild berry. It involves three different supplements, which are the CleanStart Cleansing Drink Mix, LBS II and Enviro-Detox. You need to consume the cleansing drink (can be mixed with water or juice) and take the capsules 15-30 minutes prior to breakfast and dinner. This kit is claimed to cleanse the colon, promote a healthy digestive tract, boost energy levels, detoxify your organs, improve body harmony/balance and eliminate toxic waste. Some of the important ingredients found in CleanStart are Psyllium Hulls, Aloe Vera Whole Leaf, Bentonite, Cascara Sagrada Bark, Licorice Root, Buckthorn Bark, Dandelion Root, Milk Thistle Seed Extract, Fenugreek Seed and Burdock Root.

From what we gathered, CleanStart has been available since at least 2010. This product is sold directly through the official website and it lasts for 14 days. There are plenty of natural herbs used and it supplies 10 grams of fiber, but read on…

High Price – “Concerning?”

The first thing that we noticed in user reviews pertains to the cost of CleanStart ingredients. “When you consider the fact that the kit only lasts for 14 days, $74.95 is a pretty hefty price tag, and it may deter some dieters,” says our Research Editor.

“This is definitely a waste of money. I took it for a week and nothing, no energy, no bathroom use, just nothing at all. I was better off with a cheap product that actually works. Don’t waste your money and purchase this item!,” said one person.

“Definitely not worth the $75. Metamucil will give the same effect!,” commented another customer.

Happy customers felt different.

As one put it, “I use this item at least every six months to clean my system. Worth the price.”

One review claimed, “Great value-Great Experience.”

User Complaints – “Another Concern?”

We found some user complaints posted on distributor websites like Amazon. One person revealed, “It did absolutely nothing; no type of detox; no type of nothing…nothing…nothing!”

“This product made me cramp like crazy. Not good for me,” stated another user.

We also found some reviews that showed users liked the results.

One said, “I feel stronger and healthier. My skin is much smoother and I feel great.”

“The first couple days were rough, I was mildly nauseous in the morning and evening for about 3 days, and by the end of the fourth day I felt like new again,” shared a user.

According to our research, if there is some specific part of a weight-loss product or diet supplement that is quite troublesome (high price, user complaints, too many side effects) the probability of actual results for the long run is low. So, if CleanStart does lead to a high number of unhappy customers, this could be a serious issue.

Any Real Science?

We at DietSpotlight like to see some actual science that supports the product we’re researching. Unfortunately, we did not pinpoint any solid clinical research that backs up CleanStart as an effective weight-loss aid. On the other hand, this supplement may help increase regularity and temporarily cause water loss.

What Users Are Saying

"Very mild on the stomach after the first couple of days yet effective in terms of regulating bowel movement and really flushing out the colon."

"Product worked well except I had an allergic reaction to it."

"It hurt my stomach all night and all day. I was bed ridden due to all the pain. I gave it three stars because I have a friend that uses this and lives it. I might be too sensitive. Although I did use the smallest dose and it still caused me pain."

The Bottom Line – Does CleanStart Work?

Now the moment you’ve been waiting for: our bottom line on CleanStart. To begin, we like that this supplement kit contains natural herbs and may help promote more regular bowel movements. On the downside, we have some doubts because it’s not actually supported by any clinical research. Furthermore, we’re leery of the negative customer comments we found on the web, as well as the steep price tag.

If you’d like to shed more pounds of fat, then we encourage you to go with a product that does not lead to any harmful side effects, sells at a reasonable price and contains clinically tested ingredients for weight-loss.

Among the best products we’ve seen this year is one called Dietspotlight Burn. This product uses a blend of four key ingredients, which have been shown in documented clinical studies to help accelerate fat loss and kick-start metabolism. Also, we can’t find any complaints of harmful side effects and user feedback around the web reveals people are seeing great results.

The makers of Dietspotlight Burn are so sure about their product they’re offering a Special Trial Offer, which is a positive sign.

I have never taken this type of products before, so unlike some of the people in the article I cannot compare to something else. I have to take some vitamins for my immune system, a friend recommended I start with this, specially if I had never done a cleanse. So I did, I am on day 4; I have got to say my bowel movements Did not change until day 3. I actually feel lighter, I was cranky on day 2 but I am feeling good now.
